Extra-long staple (ELS) cotton, such as Pima cotton, has fibers that measure 1.5 to 2 inches, compared to the 1-inch fibers of standard cotton. These longer fibers create smoother, softer, and more durable sheets with a natural luster. Extra long staple cotton's strength reduces pilling and wear, ensuring long-lasting softness even after many washes.
