A higher thread count isn't always better, as higher thread counts create overly dense weaves that can make sheets less breathable. When thread count gets too high, the fabric becomes tighter, trapping heat and reducing airflow. As a result, sheets with very high thread counts can feel hotter and less comfortable, especially in warm climates or for those who tend to sleep hot. For a cooler, more breathable sleep, it's better to focus on high-quality cotton, such as ELS Pima cotton, woven into a genuine 400 count.

Certified Pima cotton means that the cotton used in the product has been verified as genuine Pima cotton. This certification ensures that the cotton comes from the Gossypium barbadense species, known for its extra-long staple fibers. Certified Pima cotton must meet specific quality standards, guaranteeing the material's softness, durability, and superior feel. The certification also protects against products falsely labeled as Pima, ensuring consumers receive the authentic, high-quality cotton they expect.
